Dear Parents,

             We had a productive first week of school.  The children were eager to begin a new grade and ready to learn the workings of a new classroom.  I was able to observe their desire to learn, laugh and get to know each other as a class.  I am sure we will have a very successful year.

            I was able to listen to each child read individually and assess their favored learning modality.  I am pleased with the ability level of the children.  I got a sense that most everyone enjoys listening to stories. They are a happy group that enjoys a good laugh!

           This Wednesday, August 31, at 7:00p.m. , there will be a "Back to School Night" for parents only.   Please review the parent book I sent home on Friday.  Please bring your questions and concerns so I may address them.

           Each child will need an Art shirt for Art class.  Please send in an old shirt with your child's name on it.   I will store the shirts in the classroom and return them at the end of the school year.
